Conduction heating up to 450 °C
The CARTA uses conduction heating: a heating element warms the atomizer through direct contact, and the concentrate on the surface is vaporized. Four presets are available on the device: 260, 332, 410 and 450 °C (500, 630, 770 and 842 °F). The top level covers all common concentrates such as waxes, shatter and live resin.
Heat-up time is short: the CARTA reaches operating temperature within a few seconds. On the lowest preset flavor takes priority, on the upper presets vapor density dominates.
Anyone who wants values in between sets them to the exact degree in the Bluetooth app. Without the app, the four fixed presets on the device remain.
Bluetooth app and smart controls
The CARTA connects via Bluetooth to the Focus V app (Android and iOS). In the app, temperature and session duration can be adjusted to the exact degree. The app also stores individual presets and LED color profiles.
For users who do not want to use an app, the basic functions are also accessible directly on the device. Four preset temperature levels cover the most common use cases. The app expands the feature set, but it is not required.
Compared with E-Rigs without an app, the CARTA therefore offers greater flexibility -- especially when experimenting with different concentrates and temperatures.
Glass bubbler and WPA
The CARTA comes with a glass bubbler made of borosilicate. The vapor is filtered and cooled through water, which noticeably improves comfort at high temperatures.
The CARTA is WPA-compatible: using an adapter, the device can be connected to an external water pipe. This is particularly interesting for users who prefer larger glass pieces or already own a collection.
The bubbler can also be used dry without water. At lower temperatures, this is an acceptable option; at higher temperatures, water filtration is recommended for a smoother draw.
