Tip, cap and Armor: three different functions
The tip contains the herb chamber and transfers stored heat to the material. The cap sits over it, is heated externally and indicates the operating range by clicking. A Cap Armor, by contrast, is an additional sleeve placed around a suitable cap: it increases mass and heat retention but replaces neither the tip nor the cap.
More mass can extend the extraction window, but it also requires more energy during heating. Less mass responds more quickly to the heating position. This is a matter of the desired process, not a blanket quality ranking.

The bowl size depends on the specific tip. On models with Adjust-a-Bowl, the chamber can be reduced for smaller loads. A blanket weight specification in grams for all tips would be misleading.

Combining Cap Armor correctly
The current Cap Armor is intended for an undamaged Captive Cap. DynaVap excludes non-captive, dented, PVD-coated or engraved caps. The Armor is therefore not fitted directly onto just any tip, but placed around an approved cap.
