The Boost EVO operates between 260 and 400 °C. That sounds high, but it is exactly where concentrates perform best. Lower temperatures would not fully melt waxes; higher ones would burn them.

6 preset temperature levels cover the range. Each level is shown via a color-coded LED ring on the device:

• Low levels (260–300 °C): flavor-focused, thinner vapor, longer sessions
• Mid levels (300–350 °C): good balance of flavor and vapor density
• High levels (350–400 °C): thick clouds, fast extraction, stronger effects

Conduction heating brings the crucible to operating temperature in 11 seconds. That is slower than induction systems but faster than many other conduction e-rigs. There is no app for degree-precise control — you work with the six presets. For most concentrate users, that is enough.

The 3,400 mAh battery is built in and not replaceable. For an e-rig, that is solid capacity. In daily use, expect roughly 30 to 50 sessions per charge, depending on temperature level and draw duration.

Charging is via USB-C. The Boost EVO supports passthrough charging — use it while it charges. That solves the battery problem at home: keep it plugged in, switch to battery when you move. A full charge takes about 2 to 2.5 hours.

Since the battery cannot be swapped, device longevity depends on battery lifespan. With normal use (daily charging), 2 to 3 years should be comfortable before capacity noticeably degrades.

The standout feature of the Boost EVO is its built-in water filtration. Vapor passes through a small water chamber before inhalation. This cools the vapor and filters out particles.

With concentrates at higher temperature levels, filtration makes a clear difference. Without water, vapor above 350 °C can feel harsh. With water, it stays smooth — even during longer sessions.

The water chamber holds roughly 10 to 15 ml. Fill it just above the percolation holes. Too much water causes splashing when you draw; too little barely filters. A glass attachment lets you check the fill level.

The combination of portability and water filtration is the main reason the Boost EVO holds its position in the e-rig market despite weighing 363 grams. Many competitors skip water filtration in portable models to save weight.

At 363 grams, the Boost EVO is among the heavier portable vaporizers. For comparison, a typical portable herb vaporizer weighs 100 to 150 grams. But none of those have a built-in water chamber.

The weight comes from the large battery (3,400 mAh), the water filtration, and the sturdy housing. The Boost EVO feels solid in hand — no cheap plastic, just a well-built tool.

It was not made for trouser pockets. It fits in a jacket pocket or backpack, but its natural habitat is a table — at home, on the balcony, or at a friend's place. Dr. Dabber includes a silicone mat that protects the rig from scratches and keeps it from rolling.

If you want something lighter, you have to give up water filtration. If you want water filtration, you accept the weight. The Boost EVO does not compromise in either direction. Warranty is 1 year from purchase date.

With a concentrate device, cleaning is not optional. Waxes and oils leave sticky residue that affects flavor and function.

After every session:

• Swab the still-warm atomizer with a cotton swab — residual heat dissolves residue
• Blow briefly through the mouthpiece to keep the vapor path clear

Weekly:

• Soak atomizer and glass attachment in isopropyl alcohol (90%+) for 15 to 20 minutes
• Rinse with warm water and let dry completely
• Change the water in the filtration chamber — standing water gets unpleasant after 1 to 2 days

Atomizer lifespan: The atomizer is a wear part. Depending on usage frequency and cleaning discipline, it lasts 3 to 6 months. Signs that replacement is due: declining flavor, longer heat-up time, uneven vaporization. Replacement atomizers are available from Dr. Dabber and most European retailers.
