The AirVape X from AirVape is an ultra-thin portable vaporizer for dry herbs. With hybrid heating (conduction plus convection) and a temperature range of 93 to 220 °C, it delivers flavorful vapor in a slim form factor. The 1300 mAh battery charges via USB-C and lasts multiple sessions. The device weighs just 95 g and is barely thicker than a smartphone.
AirVape is a US manufacturer focused on flat, pocket-friendly vaporizers. With 5 shops in the price comparison, finding the best price is straightforward.

Hybrid Heating: Conduction Meets Convection
The AirVape X combines conduction and convection in a ceramic heating chamber. Material is heated by direct contact with the chamber wall (conduction) while hot air also flows through it (convection).
This hybrid approach offers two benefits: faster vapor production than pure convection and more even extraction than pure conduction. Less stirring is needed because the hot air reaches the center of the load.
The chamber holds roughly 0.25 g of finely ground plant material. Fine grinding matters -- coarse pieces lead to uneven vaporization. The vapor path is short, keeping the taste direct and unaltered.
Heat-up time is 20 seconds to operating temperature. A vibration signals readiness. That is fast for a device of this size and price range.
Temperature Control: 93-220 °C
The AirVape X offers stepless temperature control between 93 and 220 °C. Adjustment is via a small OLED display and plus/minus buttons on the side. The readout updates in real time.
Recommended ranges for different flavor profiles:
| Range | Temperature | Character |
|---|---|---|
| Low | 170-185 °C | Fine flavor, light vapor |
| Medium | 185-200 °C | Balanced, good vapor volume |
| High | 200-220 °C | Dense vapor, intense |
The wide range starting at 93 °C is unusually low -- most vaporizers begin at 160 °C or higher. Below 150 °C, barely any visible vapor forms; that range is more for gently warming the material.
An automatic shutoff after 5 minutes ends the session. This prevents over-extraction and conserves the battery.
Ultra-Thin Design and Battery
At just 22 mm thick and 95 g, the AirVape X is one of the flattest vaporizers on the market. It fits in shirt and trouser pockets without drawing attention. The housing is brushed aluminum with rounded edges.
The 1300 mAh battery charges via USB-C in roughly 90 minutes. Each charge lasts 4-6 sessions of 5 minutes. Passthrough charging is supported.
The battery is not removable. Compared to devices with an 18650 cell like the XMAX Fog Pro, this limits the device lifespan -- after 2-3 years, capacity drops noticeably.
Color options: Black, Blue, and Royal Blue depending on availability. In the box: vaporizer, USB-C cable, cleaning kit, replacement screens, and user manual.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Clean the heating chamber after every 3rd to 5th session using the included brush. Stubborn residue dissolves with isopropyl alcohol (90%+). Do not rinse the chamber with water -- moisture can damage the electronics.
The mouthpiece detaches and can be soaked in isopropyl alcohol separately. The screen should be replaced regularly -- spares are included. A clogged screen noticeably increases draw resistance.
The AirVape X does not include a water pipe adapter out of the box. Users who want to filter vapor through a water piece need a third-party WPA that fits the mouthpiece. Options are limited.
The price comparison across 5 shops shows current prices for the AirVape X. The flat form factor and hybrid heating make it a solid choice for on-the-go use.
