Yocan iCan is a portable e-rig — a device category that sits between a classic pen-style vaporizer and a full desktop rig. The iCan comes with a detachable glass water attachment and a built-in reclaim catcher, which clearly sets it apart from simpler concentrate pens.
The reclaim catcher is an unusual feature for this form factor: a small collection area inside the device traps incompletely vaporized concentrate residue before it reaches the water attachment. This keeps the glass clean for longer and reduces material loss. Anyone who uses concentrates regularly knows how quickly residue builds up — the reclaim catcher is therefore no gimmick, but a genuine practical benefit.
The detachable glass water attachment cools and filters the vapor. Concentrates can produce very harsh hits without cooling, and the glass makes a noticeable difference here. The maximum temperature is 370 degrees Celsius — well suited for thick, viscous waxes. According to the manufacturer, the iCan takes around 35 seconds to heat up; after 8 seconds it signals readiness via vibration. Passthrough charging is available, so you can continue using it while it charges.
The 1,100 mAh battery is slightly larger than on the Yocan Nestor — sensible, given that the iCan is somewhat more involved to use due to the glass attachment, and sessions tend to run a little longer.
Anyone looking for a portable device for concentrates that doesn't stray too far from a proper e-rig experience, without the full overhead of a desktop setup, should seriously consider the Yocan iCan. For the price, it offers a surprising amount.
