How to Use - Getting Started

The Tinymight 2 has exactly one button. Everything is controlled through click sequences and vibration patterns - two reviewers compare the first few days to using Morse code, after which it becomes second nature. The combinations according to the manual:

ActionInputFeedback
Switch on On-DemandClick quickly 3×LED flashes; after activation, 1-4 vibrations indicate the battery level
Switch on SessionClick 3× and hold on the third click until the vibration endsLED remains illuminated
Heat (On-Demand)Hold the button, draw after the vibration, releaseHeater stops immediately upon release
Boost (Session)Hold the button during the SessionTemperature rises temporarily
Switch offClick 3×-
Stealth mode (lights off)Session on, dial to maximum, click 1×, dial to minimum, click 1×Reset by opening and closing the battery cap
Travel lockDial to 0Device cannot be switched on

Battery indicator: green and four vibrations = full, blue and three = good, purple and two = charge soon, red and one = empty. Newer devices also show the colour on the rear and through the multitool holes at the front. One tip from the manual that is regularly absent from forums: if the vibration suddenly stops, silent mode has been activated accidentally - opening and closing the battery cap resets it.

The multitool attaches magnetically to the top of the device: for stirring, emptying and, when reversed, lightly tamping - and it has a recess that allows the temperature dial to be turned without using a fingernail.

Is the Tinymight 2 a hybrid or pure convection vaporizer? +

A pure convection vaporizer. The manufacturer describes a stainless-steel coil heater that heats the air – there is no heated chamber wall and no conduction component. You therefore have to draw for longer than with hybrid devices such as the Mighty+, but in return the flavour remains consistent until the final draw.

How quickly does the Tinymight 2 heat up? +

According to the manufacturer, from three seconds. Reviews measure 3–5 seconds at level 4–6, around 10 seconds at level 8 or in Beast Mode, and 8–10 seconds with an almost empty cell. In Session mode, subsequent draws are possible after around 2 seconds.

What temperature range does the Tinymight 2 have? +

According to the manual, levels 1 to 10 correspond to values from 140 to 250 °C, with Session mode limited to 230 °C. The manufacturer's FAQ quotes 120–240 °C – an older text. The entire range can be shifted up or down by as many as three levels through calibration.

What is the difference between On-Demand and Session on the Tinymight 2? +

On-Demand only heats while the button is pressed – ideal for individual draws without waiting or continued cooking. Session maintains the temperature until switched off and allows a button-operated Boost; the Classic model has no shut-off timer, while the black editions do. Session conserves the battery slightly, while On-Demand preserves flavour.

Which batteries fit the Tinymight 2? +

Only high-drain 18650 cells with at least 20 A continuous discharge: the manufacturer recommends Molicel P26A, P28A and P30B; forums also use Sony VTC6, LG HG2 and Samsung 30Q. Cells with 3,500 mAh and 10 A, as well as protected cells, are unsuitable. The positive terminal faces the cap.

How many bowlfuls can the Tinymight 2 handle on one charge? +

Around five – measured in Session mode at level 6–7; around four in On-Demand operation. The range across reviews is three to eight, depending on the level, draw length and cell. A spare battery with a charging cradle is therefore essential for frequent users.

Can the Tinymight 2 be used while charging? +

No. The manufacturer does not mention pass-through charging anywhere, Vapefully lists “Use While Charging: no" in the specifications, and German retailers say the same. The battery charges through USB-C with at least 2 A to 90 per cent in around 1.5 hours, or in around 40 minutes with a fast charger.

How long is the Tinymight 2 warranty? +

Three years from delivery – but only if the device is registered with the manufacturer within one year; it is not transferable. The battery, cable, glass tubes, screens and capsules are excluded. Devices purchased before 19 January 2024 still had a ten-year warranty.

Can the Tinymight 2 combust the material? +

Yes, at level 9 or above, with very dry material and an excessively hard draw. One reviewer recorded one combustion event per seven bowlfuls during the first week, but none from the fourth week onwards. Level 5–7 and steady, long draws prevent this; Beast Mode (level 10) is intended for concentrates.

Does the Tinymight 2 have a display? +

No. Temperature is set using an analogue dial with levels 0–10, while the battery level is indicated by LED colour and vibrations. Anyone requiring degree-accurate reproducibility is better served by the Arizer Solo 3 or the Venty with its app.

Is the Tinymight 2 suitable for a water pipe? +

Yes, with an adapter (14/18 mm or the manufacturer's 3-in-1 adapter). Water makes the scratchy vapour at high levels considerably more comfortable; a bowlful is often empty after two draws this way. The air path is narrower than the Venty's, which produces larger clouds through a bong.

What is Beast Mode on the Tinymight 2? +

Level 10 in On-Demand mode: the LEDs illuminate white and the device heats considerably more strongly than at level 9 – according to the manufacturer, it is intended for concentrates and is also used for hash in forums. Reviewers advise against using it for flower because the risk of combustion increases.

How often does the Tinymight 2 need cleaning? +

The manufacturer recommends weekly cleaning for frequent users and every two weeks for occasional users. The bottleneck is the cooling unit: reviewers clean it in isopropyl alcohol every five to twenty bowlfuls. The chamber remains largely clean thanks to convection; never place O-rings in alcohol or get the wood wet.

How does the Black Edition differ from the standard Tinymight 2? +

The black editions (Black, Black Walnut, Black Redwood) have a one-piece stainless-steel cooling unit v2 without O-rings, a zirconia tube instead of glass, a double screen, a stainless-steel funnel in the cap, Boost in On-Demand mode as well, a Session shut-off timer and the Molicel P30B. They cost EUR 399–449 instead of EUR 349.

Is the Tinymight 2 suitable for beginners? +

According to almost every review, no: it requires long draws, stirring, knowledge of batteries and regular cleaning, and it becomes very powerful very quickly. German reviewers recommend the Arizer Solo 3 or Norddampf Relict for beginners and regard the Tinymight 2 as a device for experienced users.

How can I identify a genuine Tinymight 2? +

Since February 2022, every device has carried a serial number and security code on the bottom plate. The original has a plus sign inside the battery cap; widespread counterfeits have a minus sign because the cell is fitted the opposite way round. Buy from retailers listed by the manufacturer or directly from the EU store.
