Temperature Settings
The Volcano Hybrid covers a temperature range of 40 to 230 degrees Celsius (104 to 446 degrees Fahrenheit). The heating element operates at 270 watts and uses a hybrid system of convection and conduction.
Heating Up:
After switching on the heating element, it takes up to two minutes depending on the set temperature before the target temperature is reached. Typically around 40 seconds at standard temperatures. A brief activation of the pump signals audibly that the target temperature has been reached - this signal can be disabled via the app.
Temperature During Vaporization:
The temperature is measured at the heat exchanger, not directly in the filling chamber. The display shows reference values for the attached filling chamber with the pump running. Increasing the temperature should always be a last resort, as higher temperatures can affect the flavor.
Auto shut-off: Factory-set to 30 minutes. Adjustable individually via the Storz & Bickel App. The display dims in standby to 30 percent (adjustable down to 10 percent via the app).

A temperature of 180°C is recommended for beginners. Lower temperatures (from 130°C) produce lighter, more flavor-focused vapor, whilst higher temperatures (up to 230°C) produce denser clouds. A gradual increase in temperature makes sense, as higher heat can alter the flavor.
The Volcano Hybrid takes up to two minutes to heat up depending on the set temperature. At standard temperatures (around 180°C), it takes approximately 40 seconds. An acoustic signal (a brief activation of the pump) indicates that the target temperature has been reached.
Yes. The Volcano Hybrid connects via Bluetooth to the Storz & Bickel web app. The app allows you to adjust the temperature, auto-shutoff, LCD brightness, and other settings. The app is not strictly required – all basic functions can be operated via the touch buttons on the device.
The filling chamber, filling chamber lid, and tube unit can be disassembled without tools. The individual parts can be cleaned in a dishwasher or in isopropyl alcohol (max. 30 minutes). The screens should be cleaned with the cleaning brush after each use. The hot air generator itself should only be wiped down dry or with a damp cloth.
For hygiene reasons, Storz & Bickel recommends replacing the valve balloon and mouthpiece every two weeks. The balloon is not suitable for storing vapor over an extended period – after a few hours, the vapor condenses on the balloon membrane. Replacement balloon sets are available directly from Storz & Bickel.
The Volcano Hybrid comes with a limited 2-year warranty from the date of purchase. If registered at storz-bickel.com/registration within 4 weeks of purchase, the warranty is extended to 3 years. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, but not consumable parts such as balloons, tubes, and screens.
