Review & Long-Term Test

Review & Long-Term Test is a core practical topic for the Plenty. Build a stable baseline with fixed temperature and airflow, adjust one variable per session, and keep short notes to find a reproducible setup.

Check draw rhythm, chamber fill, and cleaning intervals in a regular routine. Most quality gains come from consistency, not from extreme settings.

  • Start with one repeatable profile.
  • Change only one parameter at a time.
  • Track taste, vapor density, and session duration.
  • Clean cooling path, screens, and seals regularly.

Is the PLENTY a portable vaporizer? +

Sort of. The PLENTY is a handheld device, but it must remain plugged into a power outlet via a fixed cable at all times. It is not wireless and not suited for use on the go. Compared to the Volcano models, though, it is significantly lighter and more compact at 700 grams.

Why does the PLENTY have no display? +

Storz & Bickel deliberately designed the PLENTY as a purely electromechanical device. Instead of a display and microprocessor, a bimetal controller manages the temperature. This reduces potential failure points and makes the device exceptionally robust. The 7 steps on the dial cover a temperature range of roughly 130 to 202 degrees Celsius.

Can you use the PLENTY with dosing capsules? +

Yes. The PLENTY is compatible with Storz & Bickel dosing capsules. They are placed inside the filling chamber and keep it clean. For smaller amounts without a capsule, a filling chamber adapter is also available as a separate accessory.

How do you clean the cooling spiral? +

The cooling spiral can be removed from the vaporization unit. The best approach is to soak it in isopropyl alcohol (maximum 30 minutes) and then rinse it for at least one minute under running water. All removable parts are also dishwasher safe. Do not soak plastic parts longer than 30 minutes in alcohol to avoid material damage.

Does the PLENTY need batteries? +

No. The PLENTY runs exclusively on a fixed power cable. There is no rechargeable battery and no replaceable battery. That means it always needs to be plugged into an outlet, but it also never runs out of charge.

What is the difference between the PLENTY and the Volcano? +

The biggest difference: the PLENTY is a handheld device with tube inhalation, while the Volcano models are desktop units with balloon filling (and tube option on the Hybrid). The PLENTY has no display, no app, no Bluetooth, and costs 248 euros -- significantly less than the Volcano Classic (398 euros) or Hybrid (598 euros). It heats up more slowly (4.5 min vs. 40 seconds on the Hybrid) but has the same filling chamber size and is also compatible with dosing capsules.
