According to QaromaShop, the Taroma Lite XL is a larger version of the Taroma Lite Plus. The housing is made of titanium, and the gemstone chamber holds 750 3 mm ruby beads; the kit includes five packs of them.
The adapter bowl is also made of titanium and has an 18 mm ground-glass joint; a glass bowl is available as an option. QaromaShop refers to standard laboratory glassware sizes, allowing the device to be adapted to the user's own setup.
Heating is provided by a 30 mm heating coil with a five-pin XLR connector attached to the PID controller. The coil must be stretched slightly longer than the gemstone chamber and then pushed back with the cap like a spring so that it sits securely. According to the manufacturer, modified or incompatible coils should not be used.
QaromaShop recommends starting at no more than 266 °C (510 °F) and then slowly adjusting the temperature. The product page does not specify a fixed operating range.
QaromaShop warns that the high pressure exerted by the Taroma Lite XL on the joint can break the inner cup over time. The manufacturer recommends supporting the joint with several Basket Screens or placing the device on its side on the porcelain stand.
The Full DIY Kit includes the titanium housing, the 18 mm titanium adapter bowl, a tested 30 mm coil, the PID controller with plug (US or EU only), a walnut coil handle (Walnut StabWood), a porcelain stand, five packs of 3 mm ruby beads, stainless steel screens, and a stainless steel spoon with a stirring tool. An 18 mm jointed glass piece is not included.
There is no warranty or return option. QaromaShop only accepts returns for deliveries that arrive defective or damaged and are reported within 24 hours with photographic or video evidence.
