The Ispire Wand shows a temperature on its display — but what should you set it to? This guide covers optimal settings for every DynaVap, the difference between Auto and Manual mode, and how to properly vape concentrates.
- DynaVap M7/M+: 250–300 °C for flavor, 320–380 °C for dense clouds
- Omni (titanium): Set 20–30 °C lower — titanium reaches the click faster
- Auto mode: Stops automatically after the click — best for beginners
- Concentrates: 350–425 °C with the included banger, always use the carb cap
Which temperature for which DynaVap?
The Wand displays a temperature (120–425 °C) that serves as a reference value. The number shown isn’t the exact extraction temperature inside the DynaVap cap, but a consistent reference that lets you reproduce your results.
| DynaVap Model | Flavor | Balanced | Clouds |
|---|---|---|---|
| M7 / M Plus (stainless cap) | 250–280 °C | 290–320 °C | 330–380 °C |
| Omni (titanium cap) | 230–260 °C | 270–300 °C | 310–350 °C |
| Vong (stainless cap, wood body) | 250–275 °C | 285–310 °C | 320–360 °C |
| HyperDyn | 260–290 °C | 300–330 °C | 340–390 °C |
Insertion depth: How deep to insert your DynaVap?
How deep you insert the DynaVap into the heater affects which part of the cap heats first — and changes the entire vapor character. Three positions, three results:
| Position | Description | Result | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Deep (cap fully in) | Cap tip sits deep in the coil | More flavor, lighter vapor, later click | Flavor sessions, first heat |
| Middle (standard) | Cap inserted to its midpoint | Balanced vapor — recommended position | Daily use, beginners |
| Shallow (cap edge only) | Only the bottom edge of the cap in the coil | Denser clouds, faster click, higher combustion risk | Cloud chasing, experienced users |
Why? The induction coil heats the metal most intensely where it sits at the coil’s center. “Deep” = tip gets hot (lighter terpenes first). “Shallow” = base gets hot (closer to the material, more intense extraction). Most users stick with “Middle” and vary the wattage instead.
Tip: Start low and work up. First time with a new DynaVap, begin at 270 °C and increase in 10 °C steps until the vapor suits your preference.
Auto mode vs Manual mode
The Wand offers two operating modes:
Auto mode (double-click the button): The Wand detects the DynaVap cap’s click and stops heating automatically. Insert your DynaVap, press the button, and wait. When the cap clicks, the Wand stops. This is the simplest mode and the best starting point.
Manual mode (single press and hold): You hold the button and release when you want. This gives you more control — you can deliberately heat past the click or stop early. Experienced users tend to prefer this mode.
Recommendation: Start with Auto. If you find yourself wanting more vapor, switch to Manual and experiment with 1–3 seconds past the click.
Concentrate settings (banger)
The Wand’s big advantage over the YLL 3.0: it can also heat concentrates. The package includes two bangers (14mm and 18mm) plus a carb cap.
- Temperature: 350–400 °C for flavorful dabs, 400–425 °C for bigger clouds
- Preheat time: Place banger on the Wand, let it preheat for 30–45 seconds
- Carb cap: Always use it — controls airflow and lowers the required temperature
- Cold start: Place concentrate in a cold banger, then heat. Gentler on terpenes.
18650 battery care and runtime
The Wand uses two 18650 cells (2900 mAh each). Roughly 15 DynaVap sessions per charge, fewer with concentrate use (longer heating cycles).
- Charge time: ~3 hours via USB-C (on device) or faster with an external charger
- Spare batteries: Samsung 30Q or Sony VTC6 are proven 18650 cells. Cost ~8 € each.
- Storage: Keep between 20–80% charged. Don’t leave in a hot car.
- Bonus: If you already own 18650 batteries (from e-cigarettes, flashlights), they work in the Wand right away.
Common issues and fixes
| Problem | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Auto mode stops too early | Temperature set too low | Raise temperature by 20 °C or switch to Manual |
| Wand wobbles on desk | Unstable without charging base | Always use with charging station or magnetic base |
| Thin vapor despite high temp | Material too coarse, not enough packed | Grind finer, fill chamber 3/4 (don’t press) |
| DynaVap doesn’t fit | Wrong model or adapter missing | All standard DynaVaps fit. HyperDyn: only compatible IH. |
| Battery lasts only 5–8 sessions | Old cells, high temp, concentrate use | Use fresh 18650 cells, moderate temp (300 °C vs 400 °C) |
