About this vaporizer
The G Pen Dash 2 is the reworked follow-up to the Dash and remains the cheapest way into Grenco Science dry herb vaporizers. It heats by conduction through a 0.4 gram ceramic chamber that is easier to load than the one on its predecessor. The temperature range runs from 190 to 220 degrees Celsius and is set degree by degree on an OLED display that also shows the battery level. The device is ready after roughly 30 seconds. The built-in 1,100 mAh battery charges over USB-C and supports pass-through, so the Dash 2 can be used while plugged in. At 97 by 35 by 21 millimetres and 62 grams it fits into any trouser pocket. A loading tool is built into the housing and a silicone sleeve for the mouthpiece is included. The Dash 2 handles dry herb only, no oils, waxes or 510 cartridges.

From 190 to 220 degrees Celsius, adjustable to the precise degree rather than through fixed settings. The target temperature is shown together with the battery level on the OLED display. Around 190 degrees, the vapour is mild and aromatic; from around 210 degrees, it is denser and warmer.
Pure conduction: the herbs are in direct contact with the heated ceramic chamber. By contrast, its sibling model, the Dash+, uses hybrid conduction and convection heating and therefore produces more consistent draws.
Depending on the selected temperature, the built-in 1,100-mAh battery lasts for two to four sessions. It charges via USB-C, but a cable is not included. Passthrough charging is supported, so the device can continue to be used while charging.
No. The Dash 2 is designed exclusively for dry herbs. Oils, waxes and 510 cartridges are not supported and may damage the ceramic chamber.
The Dash+ uses hybrid heating rather than pure conduction, has a titanium chamber instead of ceramic, a 1,800-mAh battery instead of 1,100 mAh, a colour display and a magnetic mouthpiece with a ceramic path. It is also ready after around 20 seconds rather than 30 seconds. In return, its RRP is 149.95 US dollars compared with 49.95 for the Dash 2.
Around 30 seconds to reach the selected target temperature. This is slightly longer than the Dash+, which is ready for use after around 20 seconds.
Grenco Science initially provides a 6-month warranty. Registering the device with the manufacturer after purchase extends it to 12 months. This is shorter than the two years commonly offered by European manufacturers.
