Fenix Pro

The Fenix Pro heats entirely by convection. A heating element warms the air, which flows through the herb as you draw and vaporises it – the material itself does not touch a hot component. This is precisely the difference compared with pure conduction devices, where the herb rests directly against the heated chamber wall and can quickly develop a „scorched" character.

The advantage of pure convection is that the vapour is clean and consistent, allowing the flavour to come through much more clearly. As heating only takes place when you draw, nothing burns between draws – the herb remains productive for longer. Low temperatures for flavour-focused draws work particularly well, without the material becoming charred.

The Fenix Pro heating chamber is made of titanium – the same material Weecke uses throughout the Fenix range (NEO, 2 MAX, Titanium Pro). Titanium does not retain flavours, withstands repeated heating over the long term and transfers heat evenly. This is why the Fenix Pro is also searched for and sold under the name „Fenix Titanium Pro".

The real standout feature is called ECA – Easy Care Airpath. In most vaporizers, the vapour path is concealed inside the housing and is difficult to clean. With the Fenix Pro, you remove the mouthpiece and can take out the heating channel and airpath completely – visible and freely accessible. Resin deposits that gradually dull the flavour in other devices can simply be wiped away here. The vapour travels through flavour-neutral materials as far as the black glass mouthpiece, rather than over heated plastic.

The Fenix Pro offers full digital temperature control from 160 to 221 °C (320–430 °F) in one-degree increments. There are no fixed levels to restrict you – you select the exact temperature you want and see it on the display. As a guide for pure convection:

• 170–185 °C – flavour-focused, light vapour, plenty of aroma
• 190–205 °C – balanced, a good mix of flavour and vapour production
• 210–221 °C – dense clouds, full extraction, less flavour

Because hot air transfers heat very efficiently, the upper limit of 221 °C is entirely sufficient for a convection device – you will rarely need to push it to the maximum. If flavour is your priority, start low and gradually increase the temperature over the course of the session; for dense draws in a short time, go straight to a higher setting.

The Fenix Pro uses a 0.96-inch dual OLED display to show the set and actual temperatures simultaneously. The temperatures appear in the upper section, with the countdown timer and battery indicator below. At a glance, you can see whether the device has reached the target temperature and how much session time remains.

The vibration feedback is practical: as soon as the set temperature has been reached, the device vibrates briefly. You do not need to stare at the display and will know from the vibration when you can draw. This prevents the most common beginner mistake – drawing too early and getting only warm air instead of vapour.

The Fenix Pro is ready to use after around 25 seconds (manufacturer: „less than 30 seconds"). This is exceptionally quick for a pure convection device – many full-convection portable vaporizers take noticeably longer for the airflow to become hot enough.

In practice, the exact time depends on your target temperature: reaching 180 °C is faster than reaching 221 °C. The brief vibration reliably tells you when you can start. This prevents you from wasting herb on a premature draw.

The Fenix Pro contains a built-in 2300-mAh battery. This is one of the longer-lasting capacities in its class and is sufficient for several sessions in succession, even at higher temperatures. It charges via USB-C; a full charge takes approximately two hours (5 V / 1.5 A).

Important for frequent users: the Fenix Pro supports pass-through charging. You can therefore use the device while it is charging – if the battery is empty, simply plug it in and continue vaping. This is particularly useful at home at your desk, as you do not need to worry about the battery running out in the middle of a session. The battery is not replaceable; anyone who wants to swap cells while out and about will need to use a power bank. In return, the housing remains compact and sturdy at 130 grams.

The Fenix Pro is compatible with dosing capsules – small metal containers that you fill with herb in advance and then place in the chamber. The benefit is that you can prepare several capsules at home and swap them in seconds while out and about, without handling loose herb or touching the chamber with your fingers.

This keeps the chamber cleaner because the material stays inside the capsule, and it makes switching between different strains easy. For use on the go, this is the most convenient way to operate the Fenix Pro. If you prefer to fill it with loose herb, simply leave out the capsule – both options work.

The Fenix Pro mouthpiece is an adjustable black glass mouthpiece. Glass cools the vapour on its way upwards and can be replaced if it breaks – a long glass vapour path feels considerably more pleasant than a short, hot plastic mouthpiece. With the mouthpiece, the Fenix Pro measures around 10.2 cm; without it, just 8.4 cm.

For more intense and particularly cool draws, use a water pipe adapter (WPA). This allows you to connect the Fenix Pro to a bong, with the vapour additionally filtered and cooled through the water. This is particularly worthwhile with pure convection: water cooling makes the naturally lighter vapour noticeably gentler. The adapter is sold separately and is not included.

Operation is mechanical and does not require an app:

1. Switch on: Press the power button several times in quick succession. The OLED display lights up and shows the target temperature.
2. Fill the chamber: Remove the mouthpiece, loosely fill the chamber with medium-fine ground herb (do not pack it down) or insert a dosing capsule.
3. Select the temperature: Use the buttons to set the desired temperature (160–221 °C).
4. Heat up: After around 25 seconds, the device vibrates – the target temperature has now been reached.
5. Draw: Inhale slowly and steadily for 10–15 seconds.

A session timer (adjustable between 180 and 360 seconds, or 3 to 6 minutes) automatically switches the device off when the time has elapsed, conserving battery power. The countdown appears in the lower section of the display.

A few simple steps make a difference with the Fenix Pro:

• Grind: medium-fine and consistent. If it is too coarse, air passes through too quickly; if it is too fine, it clogs the airpath.
• Fill level: loosely fill the chamber to around two-thirds capacity without packing it down – the airflow needs to pass through the material.
• Temperature ramp: start low (around 175 °C) for the fullest flavour, then increase the temperature gradually to release the remaining active compounds.
• Drawing technique: draw slowly and for a sustained period. With pure convection, a steady draw produces more vapour than short, hurried pulls.

Follow these points and you will get noticeably more flavour and vapour from the same amount of herb. The titanium chamber and clean airpath show their strengths particularly well at lower temperatures.

The Wolkenkraft ÄRiS is the most common comparison for the Fenix Pro – and with good reason, as the two devices are closely matched on paper. They share: pure convection, a 2300-mAh battery, a temperature range of 160–221 °C with degree-by-degree control, a heat-up time of around 25 seconds, WPA support and USB-C pass-through. The differences lie elsewhere:

• Weight: The Fenix Pro weighs just 130 g, while the ÄRiS weighs around 300 g – more than twice as much. The Fenix Pro has a clear advantage for pocket use.
• Dosing capsules: The Fenix Pro is compatible with capsules, while the ÄRiS is not. If you want to use pre-filled capsules, the Fenix Pro is the clear choice.
• Chamber: The Fenix Pro has a titanium chamber, while the ÄRiS uses ceramic convection – both are flavour-neutral, so personal preference is the deciding factor.
• Display & cleaning: The Fenix Pro scores points with its dual OLED display and removable ECA airpath, which makes cleaning easier.
• Warranty: The ÄRiS offers 2 years, while the Fenix Pro offers 1 year.

In short: If you want the lighter, more versatile device with dosing capsules and easy cleaning, the Fenix Pro is the better choice. If you value the longer warranty and do not mind the higher weight, the ÄRiS is a solid alternative – there is little difference between the vapour quality of these two pure convection devices.

Within the Fenix family, the Fenix Mini+ is the more compact alternative. The two devices differ more fundamentally than their names might suggest:

• Heating principle: The Fenix Pro uses pure convection, while the Mini+ uses hybrid heating (convection plus conduction). Pure convection produces a cleaner flavour, while hybrid heating extracts a little more readily.
• Battery: 2300 mAh for the Pro compared with 1600 mAh for the Mini+ – the Pro offers considerably more runtime.
• Temperature: The Mini+ starts as low as 120 °C, while the Pro starts at 160 °C. The Mini+ offers more scope for very low-temperature flavour experiments.
• Size: The Mini+ is designed for maximum discretion, while the Pro is slightly larger but lasts longer.

Conclusion: The Fenix Pro is the device for longer sessions and the clearest convection flavour. The Mini+ is the choice when discretion and pocket-sized dimensions are the highest priority.

With Fenix, Weecke maintains an entire family of devices that share a similar convection principle but vary in features and size:

This is where the Fenix Pro shows its greatest strength. Thanks to the ECA airpath, the vapour path is exposed and removable once the mouthpiece has been taken off – cleaning takes minutes instead of requiring fiddly work with cotton buds in inaccessible channels.

• After every session: Briefly brush out the chamber with the supplied brush while the device is still slightly warm – this makes it easier to remove residue.
• Weekly: Place the glass mouthpiece and removable airpath in isopropyl alcohol for a few minutes, then rinse with water and allow them to dry.
• Screen: Check it if the airflow decreases and replace it if necessary.

The titanium chamber handles this cleaning without any issues and does not retain flavours. Keeping the mouthpiece and airpath clean preserves a fresh taste over the long term. If the battery will not be used for an extended period, it is best stored approximately half-charged and away from intense heat.

Weecke covers the Fenix Pro with a one-year manufacturer's warranty. This is typical in this price bracket but shorter than some competitors – the Wolkenkraft ÄRiS, for example, offers two years.

The included accessories generally comprise: the device with glass mouthpiece (including O-ring and screen), a brush for the airpath, a brush for the chamber, a filling tool and a USB-C cable, as well as instructions (German/English). Wear parts such as the mouthpiece, screens and dosing capsules, along with the water pipe adapter, are available separately.

• Limited vapour: the herb is usually ground too finely or packed too tightly into the chamber – fill it more loosely and use a medium-fine grind. A higher temperature can also help.
• Only warm air: you drew too early. Wait for the vibration that signals the target temperature has been reached.
• Weak draw or blockage: clean the removable ECA airpath and the screen, replacing the screen if necessary.
• Device charges slowly: use a USB-C power adapter with sufficient output (5 V / 1.5 A).
• Battery runs out quickly: normal at high temperatures and during long sessions. Use pass-through or recharge between sessions.

The Fenix Pro is the right choice if you are looking for a flavourful convection vaporizer with a titanium chamber and value easy cleaning, digital temperature control, pass-through charging and good value for money. The removable ECA airpath and dual OLED display distinguish it from the crowd of more affordable portable vaporizers.

It is less suitable if you want the smallest possible device (in which case consider the Fenix Mini+) or need the longest possible warranty (in which case the Wolkenkraft ÄRiS with its two-year warranty is worth considering). If you can accept the built-in battery and one-year warranty, the Fenix Pro is a durable, easy-to-maintain vaporizer with a clear convection flavour.
