How to interpret compatibility information
- Direct: The manufacturer’s source identifies the compatible capsule and device or component; no additional capsule adapter is required there.
- With adapter: Only the documented combination of capsule, adapter, and filling chamber is confirmed. An adapter for another model is not a substitute.
- Separate format: The brand offers multiple sizes or designs. The brand name alone is not sufficient for selecting the correct product.
- Not confirmed: Reliable evidence for this specific combination is unavailable. A store listing or similar diameter is not sufficient.
- Third-party capsule: The capsule manufacturer identifies the devices it fits; the device manufacturer has not approved this combination. For capsules with threads or a different height, check the fit before heating them for the first time.
Independently documented fit tests can also be helpful, but they must remain clearly identified as third-party tests. These should cover exact product versions, fit, lid clearance, airflow, and insertion and removal after heating cycles. This table does not list any such third-party fit as manufacturer-approved.
Common sources of confusion
40 pieces do not constitute a 40 mm capsule system
For STORZ & BICKEL, the number in the 40-count set refers to the package contents. Desktop devices must be considered separately: the adapter 11 01 documented here is intended for the VOLCANO CLASSIC/DIGIT with EASY VALVE. The VOLCANO HYBRID requires the filling chamber or adapter solution designed for that model.
DynaVap Standard, Hyper, and G3 are different
Standard and Hyper capsules are different products. The manufacturer expressly describes the G3 as incompatible with capsules. The name “DynaVap” alone therefore does not provide enough information for a purchasing decision.
Filling aids and heating media are not automatically dosing capsules
A chamber reducer, a screen, a glass mouthpiece, and ruby balls from a ball vape heater serve different purposes. Likewise, a glass tube does not prove that all devices from a brand use the same metal capsule system. For Arizer, PAX, or any other brand, each additional claimed fit requires its own supporting evidence.
Before the first insertion
- Check the model and version indicated on the device or tip.
- Compare the capsule product and adapter with the manufacturer’s description.
- Check the intended material type: herb capsules are not automatically approved for liquids or concentrates.
- Check the fit and closure without applying force. Do not continue using the capsule if it jams, deforms, or blocks airflow.
- Follow the care and disposable-use instructions. Allow it to cool completely before removal.
Compatibility questions
Is there a universal dosing capsule for all vaporizers?
No. Manufacturers use different chambers, capsules, and adapters. Even within a single brand, several non-interchangeable formats may exist.
Is a combination not listed here automatically unsuitable?
No. The table is a documented selection. A missing entry means that no confirmed statement about that combination is published here.
Is a matching diameter sufficient proof of compatibility?
No. The height, lid, air openings, material, and intended installation position must also be compatible. Use specific manufacturer approval instead of assuming compatibility based on measurements.
Earlier versions cited an unsubstantiated total number of compatible devices and conflated capsules with other types of accessories. Those statements have been withdrawn. The linked sources substantiate the stated fit in each case, not any medical effect or comprehensive market coverage.
