About this vaporizer
FlowerPot Vrod by Cannabis Hardware is an older electric FlowerPot head for herbs and concentrates. The herbs sit in a bowl beneath the head; concentrates are vaporized on a separate SiC or sapphire dish on top. It is heated with a compatible 20-mm coil connected to a PID controller. The Vrod is the predecessor of the ball-filled B2, not a V-shaped rod or a head with stainless steel balls. The setup also includes a compatible bowl, a stand, and glassware.

The Vrod Before the Ball-Vape B Series
Cannabis Hardware describes the Vrod as a FlowerPot head with an additional concentrate dish. The later B2 was developed from a Vrod diffuser that had been hollowed out internally so it could hold balls. The original Vrod does not have this ball bed. Earlier descriptions of a vertical herb chamber and a V-shaped heating rod were incorrect.
Dry Herbs and Concentrates
Dry herbs are placed in the bowl below the hot head and heated by the airflow. For concentrates, the FlowerPot FAQ specifies interchangeable SiC or sapphire dishes. The manufacturer recommends a Carb Cap for concentrates; it is not required when using dry herbs only. The dual-use design does not establish any measured superiority over other devices.
Coil, Controller, and Heat-Up
The FlowerPot FAQ specifies 3 to 5 minutes for heat-up and the full 5 minutes when first powered on. The normal range of 288 to 427 °C (550 to 800 °F) stated there applies to the PID controller, not to the air reaching the herbs. A single fixed heat-up time cannot be derived from this information. According to the FAQ, all FlowerPot heads are designed for a 20-mm coil; with the Vrod, the shape and winding direction must fit the receptacle. Warranty
Cannabis Hardware provides a one-year warranty on metal parts and its own controllers, and a 30-day warranty on heating coils. SiC and sapphire dishes are excluded; the warranty is nontransferable. Warranty terms.
