The chamber is relatively spacious for such a small housing; it should be filled loosely and evenly so that the convection can reach the material.
Three temperature settings and 40-second heat-up time
The three presets are 199, 207 and 215.6 °C and are indicated by a green, blue or white LED. The device remembers the most recently selected setting. The heat-up time is just under 40 seconds, followed by a three-minute session with an automatic safety shut-off.
The integrated lithium-polymer battery has a capacity of 1000 mAh and is charged using a USB-C cable. Black Leaf states that a full charge takes approximately two hours and recommends a standard 5-V power source with at least 1 A. The battery is not documented as replaceable, making its condition particularly important when buying a used device.
The package includes two metal screens, a dab tool, a cleaning brush, a USB-C cable and instructions. Here, the dab tool is a packing and cleaning implement and does not indicate approval for concentrates. The chamber and screen should only be brushed out once they have cooled down; when purchasing, check for an unobstructed air path and a mouthpiece that closes completely.
