The RT Extended 25mm Barrel Coil by Ripping Terps is the heating coil for the Wired Terp Ripper, the Wireless Ripper, and the Wireless TKO. With its build height of 30 mm, the Extended version offers more heating surface than a shorter barrel coil, ensuring Ruby Pearls are heated all the way round and evenly — something that becomes particularly noticeable during large single hits. When purchasing, you choose between two versions: Pre-Stretched and Standard. The Pre-Stretched variant is pre-expanded by the manufacturer to the exact internal dimensions of the Ripping Terps heating heads. It is recommended if you are running a Terp Ripper Diffuser, Wireless Ripper, or Wireless TKO. The Standard variant delivers the coil in its unexpanded factory condition and is intended for custom builds or third-party 25 mm heating heads. The coil operates in the European voltage range of 220 to 240 V and connects via an XLR 5-pin connector. The connection cable is protected by a braided sleeve.

The Extended Barrel Coil measures 30 mm in height. It is built as a 25 mm coil and designed exclusively for 25 mm diffuser heating heads. Use with 20 mm injector systems is not possible. The connection cable has a braided sleeve.

Compatibility and Fit

As a core component, this heating coil is intended for the Wired Terp Ripper Diffuser, the Wireless Ripper, and the Wireless TKO. For these three devices, Ripping Terps recommends the Pre-Stretched version, as it is already matched to the dimensional tolerances of the corresponding heating heads. Anyone using the coil in a custom build or a third-party 25 mm heating head should opt for the Standard variant in its factory condition.

Connection and PID Compatibility

The coil uses the XLR 5-pin standard, which is also used by Auber, Cannabis Hardware, and many other desktop units. The pin assignment: Pin 1 coil+, Pin 2 coil–, Pin 3 TC+, Pin 4 TC–, Pin 5 ground. Your PID controller must be rated for 220–240 V and must feature the same 5-pin assignment. Incorrect wiring can permanently damage the coil or controller — always check your controller's manufacturer documentation before connecting.

Scope of Delivery

Included in the package is one 25 mm Extended Barrel heating coil with braided cable, either in the Standard or Pre-Stretched version according to your choice in the dropdown. PID controller, heating head, and handpiece are not included and are sold separately.

The Pre-Stretched variant is pre-expanded by the manufacturer to the exact dimensions of the Ripping Terps heating heads and fits directly into the Terp Ripper Diffuser, Wireless Ripper, and Wireless TKO. The Standard variant comes in its unexpanded factory condition and is suitable for custom builds or third-party heating heads with a 25 mm fitting.

Does the coil fit a 20 mm heating head as well?

No. The RT Extended 25mm Barrel Coil is designed exclusively for 25 mm diffuser heating heads. The manufacturer explicitly excludes use with 20 mm injector systems.

Which PID controllers are compatible with this heating coil?

Any PID controller with an XLR 5-pin connection using the Auber and Cannabis Hardware standard pin assignment and rated for 220–240 V is compatible. Before connecting, you should check the pin assignment of your controller, as incorrect wiring can permanently damage the coil or controller.

Is the PID controller included in the package?
