The CrossingTech WOHW Upgrade Kit V1 to V2 brings a first-generation Wireless One Hit Wonder up to V2 specifications. The kit contains exactly the two components that make up the generational upgrade: the larger stainless steel heater housing and the matching 25-mm barrel coil. You continue using the wireless dock and PID controller from your V1 setup.

What changes compared with the V1
The V1 heater housing is made from titanium and filled with approximately 520 gem-cut 3-mm rubies. The V2 housing contains round 3-mm ruby balls in a larger chamber. The round balls allow more air to pass through, while the additional mass stores more heat: after removing it from the dock, you can use it for longer before the housing needs to return to the coil.
There is also the new 25-mm barrel coil, which is designed specifically for the V2 housing. The adapter ring also enables compatibility with 22-mm bowls from other manufacturers, such as Cannabis Hardware or O'Connell Woodworks.
Stainless steel or titanium?
In Germany, the kit is sold with the stainless steel housing, while some retailers in the USA also offer a titanium version. Stainless steel heats up more slowly but retains heat for longer, making it well suited to longer wireless draws. Titanium heats up faster and is better suited to small loads.
Conversion and first session
Before carrying out the conversion, disconnect everything from the power supply and allow it to cool completely. Then replace the coil and heater housing in your wireless unit. Before the first session, briefly heat the new, still-empty coil to approximately 425 °C so that any manufacturing residue burns off.
Compatibility
The kit is intended only for owners of a functioning Wireless One Hit Wonder V1, including the wireless dock and PID controller. It is not a complete device. CrossingTech has not yet confirmed whether all existing V1 bowls also fit the V2 housing – if in doubt, ask the retailer.
