XMAX XVape Fyra

The XVape Fyra is a budget hybrid portable from XMAX that combines conduction and convection heating in a single compact unit. The ceramic chamber heats up in around 18 seconds, with a temperature range spanning 100 to 220°C — wider than you'd expect at this price point. That flexibility matters if you like to start low and work your way up through a session, extracting different flavor profiles as the temperature climbs.

Battery life sits at 1500mAh, which should carry you through several sessions before needing a charge. Passthrough charging means you can keep vaping while plugged in, which is a genuine convenience when you're not willing to wait. Water pipe compatibility is another standout feature — attach the Fyra to a bubbler or small bong and the vapor becomes noticeably cooler and smoother. For a device at this price, that's a useful bonus.

The hybrid heating setup sets the Fyra apart from cheaper conduction-only devices. Even heating across the chamber means better extraction and less need to stir or shake midway through a session. It won't compete with the Mighty+, the Arizer Solo 3, or anything approaching flagship territory — but that's not the point. As an entry-level device or a low-stakes travel vape, it holds its own.

Operation is simple: one button to power on, a few clicks to cycle through temperatures. The display is clear and easy to read. A mouthpiece isolation ring protects your lips during direct draws. The main drawbacks are the vapor path, which can run warm at higher settings, and the cooling system, which is basic compared to devices even slightly higher up the price ladder.

XMAX has improved its product line noticeably over the past few years, and the Fyra reflects that upward trend. Pair it with a decent grinder, use a medium-fine grind, and you'll get noticeably better results than with a coarser pack. The one-year warranty is standard for this segment, not exceptional, but adequate. For anyone curious about dry herb vaporizing who doesn't want to spend big upfront, the Fyra is a reasonable, low-risk starting point.
