Two stacked percolators
The difference from the 8-inch Timber is the dual filtration stage. The vapour passes through two tree percolators in succession and then through a long neck before reaching the mouthpiece. Each stage reduces the temperature. Anyone who still finds the draw from the smaller Timber too warm gets the cooler option here — at the expense of portability.
Handling and care
At 28 cm, the Timber Stack is a desktop device, not a companion for use on the go. Two percolators also mean two places where residue can accumulate — the water should be changed more frequently and the glass rinsed regularly. As with the smaller model, the tips are screwed on and heated externally.
