About this vaporizer
The RBT Splinter Z is a 510-thread convection vaporizer made of wood that draws on the power of a 510 box mod and comes without its own battery. The convection heating delivers clean, flavour-rich draws and operates at temperatures up to 230 °C. Thanks to the interchangeable 510 battery system, the Splinter Z connects to almost any common box mod.

The RBT Splinter Z from RBT (Rasta Buddha Tao) is a handcrafted wooden convection vaporizer for 510 mods. It screws onto a box mod and uses its battery and power regulation. Artisan quality meets 510 flexibility. In the price comparison, it comes in at around 249 Euro.
510 Connection and Convection
The Splinter Z screws onto a standard 510 box mod. The mod supplies the power, the Splinter makes the vapour. A glass tube inside the wooden housing channels hot air by convection through the material. Heat-up time is around 5 seconds.
Research context: A study in the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Hazekamp et al., 2006) showed that vaporisation at controlled temperatures releases over 95 % of the desired active compounds, while combustion by-products are largely avoided. Source: PubMed 16637053
Box Mod as Power Source
As the Splinter Z does not have its own battery, it uses the battery of the box mod. That means: replaceable 18650 cells, precise wattage control and long battery life. If you already own a mod, you save yourself buying a completely new device.
What Are the Ideal Temperature Settings?
The temperature is regulated via the wattage on the box mod. In TC mode (Temperature Control), the maximum temperature can be set precisely to 230 degrees. Watt mode also works, but requires a finer touch.
Craftsmanship and Dosing Capsules
Each Splinter Z is handcrafted from hardwoods. The grain makes every piece unique. Dosing capsules keep the glass chamber clean and make filling easier on the go. The replaceable battery in the mod makes the combination suitable for travel.
