Why is nobody talking about the Plenty?
The Plenty is Storz & Bickel’s most overlooked device. While the Mighty+ makes the headlines and the Volcano has legendary status, the Plenty quietly delivers the densest vapor in the entire S&B portfolio. Its unusual form factor, which looks more like a power tool, keeps it out of mainstream conversations. But users who discover it rarely go back to anything else for home sessions.
You can think of it as a Mighty+ with unlimited power. Same S&B technology, same Dosing Capsule compatibility, but plugged into the wall instead of running on a battery. No capacity limits, no thermal throttling, no compromises.
Compared with portable devices, what stands out is how different the vapor tastes: mains power keeps the heater at exactly the set temperature, regardless of how long or how quickly you draw. Portables regulate the heater up and down, which affects flavour consistency. The Plenty simply holds the temperature. That sounds trivial, but in daily use it makes a bigger difference than expected.
How does the power-tool design work?
The Plenty looks like no other vaporizer on the market. The pistol-grip design with the cooling coil on top is unmistakably industrial. It plugs into the mains (no battery), has an analogue temperature dial up to 202°C, and uses a pressure handle to activate the heating. The cooling coil guides the vapor through a long stainless steel path before it reaches your lips.
The chamber is huge, significantly larger than on the Mighty+. Around 0.5 g fits comfortably without any reducer — on the Mighty+ it is 0.2 to 0.3 g. A fully packed Plenty oven delivers extended sessions that portables simply cannot match. For smaller loads, Storz & Bickel’s Dosing Capsules work perfectly.
What makes the vapor quality so special?
This is where the Plenty earns its name. Hybrid heating plus mains power means unlimited energy delivery. No battery sag, no temperature drops during long draws. The result: thick, cool, even clouds that hit harder than any portable S&B device. For most users, the jump from the Mighty+ to the Plenty is greater than going from a budget portable to the Mighty+.
The cooling coil is the secret weapon. The vapor is noticeably cooler and smoother than with any direct-draw portable. At 190°C it is flavourful and aromatic. Above 200°C the clouds become genuinely impressive.
For flavour sessions, 180–190 °C is recommended. For maximum clouds and extraction: 195–202 °C. The analogue control is not accurate to the degree, but after a few sessions everyone finds their preferred position. A practical rule: position 5 corresponds to roughly 182 °C, position 7 to roughly 196 °C.
How does the Plenty compare within the S&B range?
| Feature | Plenty | Volcano Hybrid | Mighty+ |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heating | Hybrid | Hybrid | Hybrid |
| Power | Mains-powered | Mains-powered | Battery |
| Mode | Direct draw | Balloon + whip | Direct draw |
| Dosing Caps | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Warranty | 2 yrs. | 2 yrs. | 2 yrs. |
| Price | 135 € | 347 € | 211 € |
The Plenty wins on vapor density per euro. The Volcano wins on versatility (balloons + whip + app). The Mighty+ wins on portability. All three share S&B’s hybrid heating and Dosing Capsule system.
Is cleaning difficult?
The cooling coil collects residue and needs regular attention. Taking it apart is simple, but time-consuming because of the coil’s length. Soak it in isopropyl alcohol for 30 minutes and let it drain completely. Plan for 15 to 20 minutes weekly. A clean Plenty tastes dramatically different from a neglected one.
Who is the Plenty for?
Home users who want maximum vapor density from a mains-powered device. Users who find the Volcano too expensive but still want S&B quality. Cloud chasers who have outgrown portable performance. Also perfect as a second home device alongside a Mighty+ or Venty.
NOT for: on the go (mains-powered), balloon fans (that is what the Volcano is for), or users who want digital precision (the analogue dial is accurate, but not accurate to the degree).

Conclusion
The Plenty is S&B’s best-kept secret. For home use, it delivers vapor quality that matches or surpasses the Volcano, at a significantly lower price. The design is polarising, but the performance speaks for itself. If cloud density is the top priority and you do not need balloons, the Plenty is hard to beat.
In our 12-month test, the Plenty was the device reached for most often for home sessions — not the Volcano, not the Mighty+. The combination of instantly dense vapor, zero battery management, and reassuringly simple operation makes it the quiet champion for daily use.
