What they have in common
Before we talk about differences: the Crafty+ and Mighty+ share more than sets them apart. Both use Storz & Bickel’s hybrid heating — a combination of conduction (contact heat) and convection (hot air). The result is even extraction and flavourful vapor from the first to the last draw.
Both support dosing capsules, have passthrough charging (usable while charging), offer app control via Bluetooth and come with a 2-year warranty. The maximum temperature is 210°C on both, and the heat-up time is around 60 seconds.
In short: the vapor is equally good. The differences lie in everything around it.
Size and weight: pocket-friendly vs stable
The most obvious difference: the Crafty+ weighs 135g, the Mighty+ weighs 242g — almost twice as much. In practice, that means the Crafty+ disappears easily into a trouser pocket or jacket. The Mighty+ is more of a device you carry in a bag or leave at home.
If you vape a lot on the go — on walks, at festivals or simply in everyday life — you will find the Crafty+ significantly more practical for daily use. If you mainly use it at home, the weight hardly matters.
Battery: same capacity, different results
Both have 3200 mAh batteries. Even so, the Mighty+ lasts noticeably longer. The reason: the Mighty+ has more efficient heat management thanks to its larger design. The heater does not have to work as hard, which reduces consumption.
In practice, that means around 4-5 sessions with the Crafty+ and 8-10 sessions with the Mighty+. Both are enough for an evening. For a whole weekend without a socket, the Mighty+ is the safer choice.
Thanks to passthrough charging, you can use both devices while they are charging. That softens the Crafty+’s battery disadvantage at home — though not when you are out and about, of course.
Display vs app-only: a question of convenience
The Mighty+ has an OLED display that shows the current and target temperature. You can set the temperature directly on the device — no phone needed.
The Crafty+ has no display. Temperature control works exclusively via the Storz & Bickel app. On the device itself, you can only switch it on and off and swap between two preset temperatures.
In everyday use, that makes a difference: if you like experimenting with different temperatures, the Mighty+’s display is a real plus. If you set yourself to 185°C and 195°C once and stick with that, the Crafty+ is completely sufficient.
Sessions and efficiency
The chamber size is the same on both (~0.3g). Extraction is also identical — same heater, same vapor. The only difference is the number of sessions per charge.
Heavy users who have 5+ sessions a day will need to charge the Crafty+ daily. With the Mighty+, you will comfortably get through the day. For many people, that is the deciding factor.
