Draw-activated instead of a button

The M4 has no button. A draw sensor detects inhalation and supplies power to the cartridge; after approximately ten seconds of continuous inhalation, over-inhalation protection cuts the power. This makes the battery discreet when out and about, but also removes the option to preheat it deliberately or switch it off – anyone using a cartridge with viscous oil may prefer the M4B Pro with its preheating function.

Fixed voltage, small battery

The voltage is fixed at 3.6 volts, with no choice of levels. CCELL calibrates this value for its own ceramic cartridges; the M4 also works with other 510 cartridges, provided they are no wider than the thread. According to the manufacturer, the 290 mAh capacity is sufficient for one day of normal use, and the battery is permanently installed. When charging via USB-C, the LED indicates completion by flashing twenty times.

M4 and M4 Tiny

Alongside the standard-length model, there is the M4 Tiny: 200 mAh in a housing measuring just 52 millimeters high but 21 millimeters wide, also draw-activated and charged via USB-C. The Tiny accommodates cartridges up to 14 millimeters in diameter and is the right choice if the device needs to disappear into the palm of your hand; the longer M4 fits better in a jacket pocket.
