How to Use - Getting Started
In brief: Charge the Air MAX before the first session, inspect the glass and perform a short empty heat-up cycle. Loosely fill the glass tube, insert it into the heated device only afterwards and begin with slow draws. To switch it on normally, press and hold M and Plus; M and Minus starts dark mode.
1. Charge the battery and inspect the glass
Use the supplied USB-C accessories and only a battery approved by Arizer. According to the manufacturer, a full charge takes approximately three hours; after a partial charge of 15 to 20 minutes, the device can already be used while charging. Check the glass tube and device for damage before every use.
2. Heat it empty before filling it for the first time
If the glass tube is initially a tight fit, preheat the Air MAX for one to two minutes at 200 °C. Arizer then recommends five to ten minutes at 220 °C for the first empty heat-up cycle. Ensure good ventilation and allow the device to cool afterwards. Glass becomes hot during operation: Do not touch it again until it has cooled sufficiently.
3. Prepare the herbs and fill the glass tube
Grind dry herbs to a medium-fine consistency. Fill only the small glass chamber at the end of the aroma tube and do not pack the material tightly; air must still be able to flow through the contents. Hold the device upright and carefully insert the filled tube into the chamber.
4. Switch on and select the temperature
- Press and hold M and Plus for a normal start. The factory-set power-on delay is six seconds and can be changed in the menu to two, four, six or eight seconds.
- Use Plus or Minus to set the desired temperature. The range extends from 50 to 220 °C; brief button presses adjust it by 1 °C, while holding the button adjusts it in 10-degree increments.
- Wait until the target temperature has been reached. Arizer states that this takes less than one minute.
- Draw slowly and steadily through the glass tube. If the draw becomes too restricted, allow the device to cool and loosen the contents slightly.
5. End the session and clean the device
The automatic shut-off is factory-set to ten minutes and can be adjusted between five and 15 minutes. Switch the device off after use, place it on a stable surface and allow the glass and chamber to cool completely. Remove the spent material from the glass tube and brush out the chamber; regular cleaning prevents blocked airways.
