The Herborizer Basic is an earlier desktop Herborizer package featuring a glass-based convection injector and a choice of Sphere or Tube water base. It is mains-powered and passes heated air through dry herbs; the water then cools the vapour inside the borosilicate glass. The historical retailer record describes a complete Basic package, whereas current Herborizer systems use different XL, Ti or DigiTi controllers. VapoChecker therefore lists the Basic as a discontinued legacy model and keeps it separate from newer product families.

The injector sits above the herb bowl and heats the air flowing through it during inhalation. The material does not rest on a continuously hot plate, so the system primarily uses convection. The Basic designation identifies the earlier device generation; technical specifications for later XL, Ti or DigiTi heaters must not be applied retrospectively.
The retailer package combined the heating system with a Sphere and/or Tube glass base. Water filters particles and cools the vapour; with a suitable fill level, the Tube design can also hold ice. Precision glass joints must be released by twisting and must never be pulled apart while under lateral strain.
The Basic is powered via a power supply and controller and does not have a battery. The historical documentation provides no evidence of digital degree selection; power is adjusted using the controller and requires a preheating phase. Mains voltage, plug type, and the presence of both the power supply and controller are essential checks for old stock.
The injector and glass must cool completely before cleaning. Do not blow into the hot injector. Although current Herborizer components look modular, compatibility is not guaranteed. Buyers should obtain written confirmation of the exact joint size, controller generation, cable condition and availability of spare parts.
