Design and materials
The set combines a flexible black silicone hose with two glass components. According to the manufacturer, the hose is made from food-grade silicone. The straight mouthpiece and angled adapter are made from borosilicate glass. The 90° angle connects the hose to the bubbler's socket while you inhale through the straight glass mouthpiece. Thanks to the flexible design, you can bring the mouthpiece towards you without having to lift the connected bubbler.
Compatibility
The 14 mm version is intended for the CrossingTech Mini Tower and Tower Bubbler. For the CrossingTech Chugga-Jug 2.0, you need the 18 mm version. On the Chugga-Jug, the compatible socket is located at the top; the side bowl connection may have a different size independently of this. For bubblers from other manufacturers or product ranges, you must check whether the mouthpiece socket is compatible with the adapter's male ground-glass joint.
Choosing 14 or 18 mm
The relevant measurement is the ground-glass socket into which the 90° adapter is inserted. The adapter has a male ground-glass joint and is available in 14 or 18 mm. You should therefore not automatically base your choice on the bubbler's other connections. This is particularly important with the Chugga-Jug 2.0, where the side bowl connection does not determine the whip size: choose the 18 mm version for its upper mouthpiece socket.
