The Simrell: XL Black Ash Burl MVS is a complete set from the Simrell Collection. According to the manufacturer, it contains the Titanium Simrell Engine, a fully lined wooden stem, a flat titanium mouthpiece, a condenser pack and a titanium intercooler. The Engine is Simrell's own battery-free dry herb vaporizer: you heat it with a lighter, and calibrated thermostat discs give an audible signal once the target temperature is reached. MVS stands for «Modular Vortex System», Simrell's multi-stage cooling made up of the condenser and the intercooler in the stem.

How does the Titanium Simrell Engine work?
It is heated with a lighter and, according to Simrell, has three heat zones that let you choose between convection, conduction or a mix of both. One thermostat disc for low and one for high temperature are included. The Engine is made of titanium, needs no O-rings and can be fully taken apart via its thread.
What is the intercooler for?
It sits at the front of the condenser and cools the vapour further. According to Simrell, it also catches loose bits of herb before they reach the mouthpiece.
